Hello, my name is Tasia Bruderer. I am the DIY Content Creator and Blogger behind the Semi Sweet Crafter blog. Semi Sweet Crafter is a DIY creative blog that celebrates building roots in a handmade/homemade lifestyle.
When people think about crafts, they probably imagine Pinterest perfectionism and even more so, hilarious Pinterest fails. However, DIY projects are not just for the creatively gifted individuals, they can be fun for anyone willing to spread their horizon.
My husband (bless his heart), couldn’t draw a stick figure or use a hot glue gun for anything but, he LOVES building sports helmets and adding patches onto jerseys. I truly believe that there’s a project out there that could satisfy just about anyone’s imagination.
You’ll find that my blog doesn’t have a nicely consistent path, but instead brings realism to creativity. I may make a pillowcase one day, a birdhouse the next, and by Friday night I’ll be in the kitchen making seven different types of cookies. I love to touch base with whatever interests me at that moment in time. If you’re okay with that, please stay and craft with me. I love hearing from other creative individuals.
Now it’s time to get a little personal.
I am a self-taught handcraft artist, born and raised in North Ogden, Utah. 24 years later and I’m still living in the same city, except accompanied by my own little family. I’m the nerdy, glasses-wearing, extremely cheesy, small town/big dreams, kinda gal. I also laugh (a lot) at my own mom jokes, therefore, I apologize ahead of time.
I‘m a wife of 6 years to a very talented imaging/commercial producer (radio guy), and a mother of 2 beautiful little boys. Being a stay at home mom, my boys are the alarm clock that wakes me up every single morning…very…VERY early in the morning. I’ve quickly learned that when your kiddos love that morning sunrise, you enjoy it with them, however your more sociable attendee is a cup of coffee or two.
I wrote my first blog post in March of 2017. It was a free crochet floral bunny headband pattern I created for the Easter holiday. Ever since then I’ve been pretty hooked on spilling my enlivening time surrounding a creative lifestyle. For those of you that read my blog, thank you for listening to my rambling stories and trusting my wild ideas. Despite my ever-so-changing adventures, my philosophy will remain the same. Celebrate your creative side and have fun doing it.
I hope my blog can persuade you to expand your creativity and try your hand at different artistic roots. I mean, how are you going to know what peaks your interest if you don't try it at least once? On that note, I frankly believe that no matter how much you know about something, there’s always room to educate yourself further. That’s why my creative journey will continue no matter what stones I overturn.
If you would like to know more about us, I highly suggest reading through my blog posts. They’re filled with our stories and paint a pretty good picture of our adventures. Thanks so much for reading, catch you soon!
